Brothers in Christ, we need to be willing to sincerely commit to the Lord by reacting to what we hear from God's Word with faithful and obedient action. The 2027 Men of Iron Conference will have us examining ourselves as to our understanding that belief and action are inseparable for Christians. Our homes and churches need strong leaders, who Lord willing put their faith in action in our communities to be the defenders of truth and the moral influence of our cities.
Isaiah 40:13 but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
This year's theme: HOPE IN CHRIST, is about having men's strength and courage renewed through the hope and strength of Jesus Christ. Men need to lead the church back to the public square and expose and oppose darkness and evil and, in truth and love, courageously stand up for the faith. This one-day conference is designed to equip men with biblical truth and principles to make this stand and to be able to trust in the hope that only Jesus Christ can provide. Divine hope is far different than worldly hope. HOPE IN CHRIST is filled with certitude, and worldly hope is something wished for.
Our homes, churches, and nation need men filled with HOPE IN CHRIST to lead through spiritual war before us. And as Believers we are called to do our best to present ourselves to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15). Join us to band together as Men of Iron, and sharpen each other in this daily battle, and to learn of the power and strength found in the HOPE IN CHRIST.

Phil Zielke
Founder of Phil's Friends, Speaker, and Author
In 2004, at the age of 22, Phil Zielke was diagnosed with Stage 4B Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Immediately, he underwent aggressive chemotherapy treatments at the University of Chicago Hospital. When he showed no more signs of cancer, he proposed to his girlfriend, Carrie, and began his first year as a fourth-grade teacher.
But in April 2005, three months before his wedding, Phil received the news that his cancer was back. He had to postpone his wedding and take a leave of absence from his teaching job to begin treatment again.
This time, doctors prescribed lethal doses of chemotherapy followed by a stem-cell transplant. They worked. Phil was once and for all declared cancer free. Now, 20 years later, Phil is married to Carrie, and they have two young sons.
While going through the disease two times, Phil endured many moments of hopelessness. He questioned God, and his faith was momentarily shaken. But, as challenging and dark as those trials were, something hopeful and positive was birthed. Using his illness and what he had learned through that journey, God equipped Phil to help others in similar situations.
It was during his last bout with cancer that the vision for Phil’s Friends was born. Phil was inspired by the thoughtful and selfless love of others when he received a care package, encouraging cards, and the outpouring of prayerful support throughout his journey.
The vision took flight in 2006 when Phil’s Friends became a registered nonprofit. Since then, Phil’s Friends has positively and spiritually impacted more than 65,000 individuals battling cancer through the distribution of free care packages, Cards of Hope, encouragement, and prayer.
Phil is a highly sought-after speaker at national conventions, churches, schools, and businesses. He has a segment on Moody Radio, “Consider This,” and he’s been featured on many media outlets, including In the Marketplace with Janet Parshall and WGN.
